When applying for a life insurance policy, it is required that you go through a medical exam. This exam will determine what physical state you are in, and can be decisive in what type of policy you will be offered.

You can’t cheat the exam

Those applicants who are under 40, and who are applying for an insurance policy of less than $100,000 will usually not have to take a life insurance exam. But for those who are older and seeking more than that amount, they will have to take a life insurance exam, and that can make all the difference in getting the type of policy they want. There are those, however, who might think that they can cheat the life insurance exam. They would be wrong.

Although it might be possible that you may want to try and hide something from the medical examiner during your life insurance exam, it is not really possible to be able to get away with this. So in order to be able to have a good life insurance exam, it is advisable to take note of the following tips.

Always be sure to get a good night’s sleep before the exam; fasting for 8 hours or more before the exam ensures greater accuracy in the results; don’t smoke for one hour before the exam, and don’t drink alcohol or caffeine for at least eight hours before. Exercise should be kept light and to a minimum for at least 24 hours before the life insurance exam. If you should get sick, always cancel the exam, because minor illness can affect the outcome of the life insurance exam. With these tips, it is possible to have a good life insurance exam and to be able to present yourself as a perfect applicant for the life insurance policy you desire. As people try to cheat in their medical exam for cheap life assurance which is  a malpractice and can lead to withdrawal of insurance from the company side.
